What is this service used for?
- Troubleshooting (computer running slow, difficulty opening an email attachment, error messages, problems printing)
- Training (using Microsoft Word to create labels, creating an email distribution group, moving pictures from your digital camera)
- Virus and spyware issues (if your computer is heavily infected, it may have to be brought in for repair)
How does it work?
- Call us at (518) 392-6890 to request remote support
- A Technology 4 All technician will give you the 6-digit code to type into the support connection box
- Don't worry - our technician will remain on the phone with you
- You will be prompted to approve the download of software
- You allow the technician control of your desktop
- Sit back, relax and watch your cursor move while our technician does all the work!
Safety
- The support session can only be seen by you and the technician - it does not open your computer to anyone else on the Internet
- Customers can choose to terminate the support session at any time
- The installed software disappears from your computer when the support session is finished
- The technician can not regain access to your computer without you entering a new 6-digit code.
Fees
- $40 for the initial half hour (many problems can be resolved in a half hour)
- $75/hour after the first half hour (billed in half hour increments)
System Requirements
- Microsoft Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, or Server 2003 (sorry, no Macs at this time)
- A working, broadband Internet connection (DSL, Mid-Hudson Cable, RoadRunner)
